It is ILLEGAL to download music without paying.
The advantage for record companies is that now not everything is so expensive so people buy more which actually equals more.

No, it is illgal to download music without paying.
The advantage for "Record Companies" with this new policy is that it is less expensive so it gets people to buy more, and then it all adds up to more money.

  3. Piracy is referred to stealing music. It is not legal to download music without paying. Record companies will now be able to charge more for popular new songs, said Leigh, though their older music will be available from Apple at a cheaper price than before.

  5. The term pirates means people who download music without paying. It is illegal music off the internet without paying for it. The advantage is that they know that people can afford to actually buy music and not illegally download music off of other websites.

  6. In this article, the term "pirates" is a reference to people who download music off the internet without paying for it. It is not legal to download music without paying. The advantage for "Record Companies" is that they can charge more for popular new songs and charge less for older songs instead of one universal price for all songs.

  7. Pirates are people who steal songs and sell them for money, or just make them available to the public for free.
It's illegal to download music without paying. It's like stealing.
The advantage for the Record companies with the new policy is that it's not as expensive so people will buy more - which adds up to more $$$ in the long run.

  8. The pirates in this article are not pirates that smell, have eye-patches, wooden-legs, and hook-hands, and live on a boats (like Sydney Cooper, argggg); they are people who illegally download songs without paying for them. The advantage for record companies is that they get more money.

  9. In this article, the term "pirates" refer to people who steal music, and YES it is illegal! Their advantage is that they are costing less for older music at prices like 69 cents, 99 cents, and $1.29, and they are allowed to charge more for more popular songs.

Dillon Cord-a-roy may or may not take part in this...I'm just saying he may or may not take part in this ILLEGAL activity. And I may or may not call the police? I don't know, if he doen't show up to school tomorrow we all know why. PIRATING IS ILLEGAL AND MORALLY WRONG...cough dillon

  13. Stealing and/or giving away songs to other people for free is what is known as Pirating. No matter what people say, it is illegal all the way to download music without paying the people who created the song(s). The companies will make a profit big time with this new policy in effect.

  14. Pirates are people who steal songs and then sell them for money or for free. Yes it is illegal to download music muxic without paying because it is basically cheating on an exam or stealing. The advantage for record companies with this new policy is that all the people that stole the music, pirates, will have to pay, so their income will gradually increase.

  17. Pirates are people who obtain music illegally and distribute it on the internet. The people who download this music are also pirates. In most cases it is illegal, UNLESS the original producer, singer, etc specifically designates it as a free download. The advantage for record companies is that they can charge different rates for different songs, such as newer and more popular songs, instead of a general price.

  18. Keep in mind . . . just because you are able to do something doesn't make it right. Artists who create music have a right to be paid - that is their business, how they pay their bills. Can you imagine working at a job and not receiving a paycheck at the end of the week? Think about that the next time you download music illegally. Mrs. Lang
