What are people doing nowadays? Are they really so bored they would go get naked, take pictures and send them? What idiots. I hope there is noone in this class that does that. but anyway. In our area, i have not encountered it but i did hear a rumor that someone was sending them around. i did not want to hear more. If i ever got a picture of some naked person i would delete it and most likely text them back and ask "What are you thinking?" Even though those people made mistakes i don't think it is right to punish them by sending around those pictures and emberassing the living day lights out of them, because for all we know it could have been accidental. And it is pornography. People are stupid; period.

I don’t think it is right for people to send inappropriate pictures to people. I have never encountered this problem because I do not have a cell phone. I think that the parents are right to be concerned about their children. When kids do something they shouldn’t parents should take care of it. People send the pictures to get attention and to get at other people. It is so wrong.

ReplyDeleteI think it is really stupid for people to send inappropriate pictures to other people. Obviously those people don't have enough confidence in themselves to get a date by their personality. I have never encountered this myself, but I have heard about it going around, but it could just be a false rumor. I also think it should be considered pornography, why wouldn't it be. It is wrong and pethetic.

I agree with Bridget that it is really stupid for people to send inappropriate pictures to other people. I mean if your that desperate of attention to send nude pictures of yourself, you are MESSED UP in the head. Probably your whole body is messed up.

I think that "sexting" is a stupid and pointless thing to do. Why would you want naked pictures of yourself going around your area? That would be a little embarrassing!!!!! I have never experienced "sexting", but i have heard of pictures that have gone around school, which is pathetic and gross. I think that if you got a "sext" then you should just delete it and stop the further spread of it. At least that's what I would do.

Sexting, I just don't understand why people do it. It's stupid and immature. There is no reason for kids our age, younger, or older to be doing this. Our personal things should not be shown or anything til marriage i have never encountered this thank God. I obviously have heard it before though. My advice for people that are doing this is get a life and get some help.

ReplyDeleteSexting is just a cry for help. I can't even fathom how someone could have such low-self esteem to even consider doing it. I have never directly encountered it in our area and I hope I never will. To say the truth I don't know what to do if I received a picture. I have never been taught what to do. I suppose I would delete it, but I don't think I would report it to anyone because it is illegal to send and receive them. However, I do know what not to do. I would never send the pictures on to my friends. Hopefully people won’t send their disgusting habits to me anyhow. Kayla Winters
ReplyDeleteJenelle, I can't agree with you more and it looks like most of your classmates thought you summed it up well. Kayla I also agree with you that it could be a cry for help. Mrs. Lang 4/19/09
ReplyDeleteI do not understand why kids would do this. If they understood the consequences of what happens when they are caught sexting. If 20 percent of kids in high school are sexting it could just be them being bored or wanting to be liked at school.

Not too sure why people feel that burning need to take a picture of yourself naked and just send it around for everyone to see? OBVIOULSY more than one person is going to see it, and chances are they're going to send it again... So why throw youself in that situation. Then there are those geniouses that ask for a "Sext" cool. I know it goes around, and some people just do it to get back at people... Its fabulous.

Personally, I feel really bad for those who find it necessary to take photos of themselves naked. Have some self respect people really!!! Girls - guys are not going to respect you if you send sexts to them. It just makes you look low-class and trashy. I've heard of situations of people in our school sexting but never had any personal experiences. Get some class and don't sext. :D And if you recieve a sext of someone it's really not cool to send it to everyone in your contact list.
ReplyDeleteKatelyn Jones
I personally, don't care for this cind of stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'm not perverted, yah I check girls out but what guy that is not guy wouldn't. They are kind of over reacting obout this kind of stuff, they shouldn't put them in juvy, "just ground them."
I have not encountered it nor have i ever heard of anyone encountering sexting. I personally think its gross and makes me wonder what this world has come to. The proper punishment is to alert the parents because chances are parents are unaware that this is going on. If the parents dont seem to care i think it should go to the school and punishment should happen there as well. -Nicole Pinage
ReplyDeleteI have never encountered this so called sexting directly. I believe strongly against it. Although I know many people who have encountered it, and I must say I dissaprove to the upmost. There should be reprocatutions in your school and of course at home life. And when you get older, thats when you should have the law step in. Sexting is trashy, and weak.

This is one of those issues that most people would like to put and end to but they do not know how. The problem is that the law has not caught up with today's technology. In addition to this, students are being charged with possession of pornography and in some cases, teens are becoming registered sex offenders, which is horrible. Hopefully people will stop this ridiculous behavior when they realize that their friends are going to prison.
ReplyDeletei agree with josh. it just shows that the person who sent them are real comfertable with there body. there should be no federal punishment for sexting.
ReplyDeleteI have no encountered any "sexting". Or know anyone who has. The kind of stuff is just weird and grosses me out. The advice that is most useful is to just not do anything im not supposed to be doing and i wont get myself into any bad situation.
ReplyDeleteThe whole sexting thing is a real waste of time. Because people only intend on showing one person, and it ends up in ten other hands. And that can mess them up.. the original sender also. But like i said, its a aste of time and should stop. It's immature, unresponsible, and condsidered down right stupid. Thank fully I have not encountered this particular situation. And i reallt hope no one gets in it.
